Today is Justin's Birthday.

This photo was taken on this day 5 years ago.

It was the first picture we took together.

When I learned it was his birthday and that he had not had a birthday cake in YEARS I insisted we head to my parents house where my mom whipped up a cake

and we all sang happy birthday.

(What an introduction to your future wife's parents huh?)

He is 29 today.

He is my world.

For Valentine's Day I am told that I am not to plan any thing. (It is HIS day to plan.) But I do still give Justin little gifts the day of. This year I have wrote him a letter. That's right pen and paper sit down and write it out sort of letter.
(I would be lying if I said I was not inspired by the movie "Dear John.")
I wrote it last night and it turned out exactly as I had hoped.... now I just have to wait until this Sunday!

Here is just part of the letter. (If you didn't know we started our relationship long distance because I was still in school.)

-Justin said this as we were lying back to back talking after a particularly stressful day. I love these conversations because we lay with our backs pressed up against each other in total darkness and talk about some of the deeper things in life. It is an amazing connection.

Obsessions.

#1.... book collections.I order dozens of books off Amazon.com because I love having the option of starting a number of new books at any time I want. I have a whole library of books I have yet to read. It is my one huge obsession that not many people know... If you have a book recommendation please let me know!



2.... Balloons. I think balloons are SO romantic. I love the idea of writing a message on a balloon and letting it go! How cute is this? or this?

3.... Horses. I always wondered what my passion was until I realized I felt most at home and more connected to God when I was with my horse than any other place in the world. It is then that I can breathe and say, "This is what I was made for...This moment."

4.....I love constellations. I have always secretly wanted to name a star.

5... Soalmates. I truly believe there is one person out there for everybody. You can find that person in a lover, a friend, a mother, a son or daughter. There are always just two people that just understand each other and need each other and when you see them together you know and they know. That is a soalmate. (HE IS MINE...)
