I follow so many blogs that I would love to share with all of you, but truthfully they are all special in their own way. So head over to my blog roll and check them all out!

I did it... I tried on wedding dresses.

Notes from the event:
*wedding dress shopping is OVERWHELMING.
*Wedding dresses are heavy and HUGE. PS the clips do not really help me get the idea of how it would fit after I order the right size. The clips basically made me feel like I was 12 again and I was tying knots in the back of my shirt. (It was the early 90's.)
*My good friend Jessica (not even my maid of honor) is kick-ass and totally made the experience fun. (My best friend / maid of honor is several states away and I miss her terribly.)
* I did love one dress. (But I truthfully am not looking to spend $1500 for my dress.I am looking more to spend about $500 to $700)

In the last few years I have found the balance between who I want to be and who I am. I realized that you need to find what defines you.

Here is mine

1) my love, my family and my personal life will always be my priority. I created this circle of people that I depend on. I am an only child. They are all I have. If I didn't have Justin I would be lost.

2) My ability to be alone. To be silent. I used to think I had to be surrounded by people all the time. now I look forward to being alone.

3) My love for animals.I have learned that I have to have an animal in my life to take care of and to make me realize it is not all about me. I didn't have any animals in college and I was one lost little soul. I need that responsibility of another life.

That is it. That is my list.

As long as I keep these thing in mind I am able to stay true to what I believe.

I can not decide if I want to dye my hair blonde or continue to have darker hair. ( oh and there was a red phase in there.) I am CONSTANTLY dying my hair and I can NEVER make up my mind. See posts here, here and here.

Just so you know I have been planning our wedding for the past year. Given that I have an entire blog {SOMETHING BORROWED} dedicated to our wedding I would say that I have the whole wedding thing under control.

I have always known that Justin and I both wanted a small wedding. His side of the family is fairly small and if we did an open invite I just feel like it would turn into a huge stressful party that had nothing to do with us. We decided early on that we only want close family and like our 10 closest friends. However, we realized we have a huge support group of friends that would love to celebrate with us.

So we have a plan...We are throwing a joint Bachelor / Bachelorette party in Vegas!

location: VEGAS baby.

guests: open invite. (Allegiant air flies from our hometown and from WA so all friends can get there fairly easily.) We will set a date and say " Come with your party shoes on!"

It has made answering the question of who is invited to the wedding SO much easier!
